FAFAFAN is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and cultural connection.

FAFAFAN is a craft-focused brand that pays tribute to the richness of West African craftsmanship through handcrafted fans made with wax and kente fabrics.

Co-founded by John, whose heritage spans Ghana, Togo, and France, the brand is shaped by his international background—having lived on four continents—and his professional experience in strategy and finance.

Co-founder Carlota brings a bold entrepreneurial spirit to FAFAFAN. Originally from Venezuela, she left her home country at 17 to pursue her dreams and has since built a global career across fashion, media, and tech. With a deep commitment to storytelling, design, and social impact, Carlota infuses FAFAFAN with a vision that transcends borders and celebrates cultural identity with elegance and purpose.

FAFAFAN was born from a desire to reimagine the traditional West African hand fan as an object of both cultural expression and contemporary elegance. Each piece is produced in close collaboration with artisans in Ghana and Togo, using fabrics sourced from local markets and techniques passed down through generations. Through personalized creations and curated collections, FAFAFAN blends authenticity and refinement, offering more than a functional object—it offers a story of heritage, identity, and pride.
